Família Oriunda da Nome, na região de Pinerolo, que foi enobrecida com Giuseppe, filho de Giambattista e Teresa Corelli. Giuseppe era intendente geral na Sardenha e em Chambèry, secretário geral do Conselho de Estado, então presidente da seção no predicado Conselho de Estado. Ele era membro do Parlamento nas legislaturas IV e VI e, em 20 de fevereiro de 1861, foi nomeado senador do Reino. Por seus méritos, ele foi criado barão em 14 de setembro de 1843. Casado (1850) Ermenegilda Martorelli e a partir desses casamentos: Teresa, Maria (nascida em Turim, 12 de abril de 1851), Maria (nascida em Turim, 1º de março de 1860) esposa em segundo casamento do prof. Vittorio Cian e Mercurino (nascido em Turim, 4 de abril de 1853), doutor em letras, professor no Liceo di Mondovì e escritor. Mercurino foi reconhecido no nobre título com DM 2 de setembro de 1901. Casou-se com Maria
