Les armes de cette maison figurent sur un testament mystique du 21 septembre 1736, accolées à celles de la famille de Bourzac de Reillac, à laquelle était allié noble Jacques Sauret, écuyer, chevalier d'honneur en la sénéchaussée et siège présidial de Sarlat. Ces dernières sont d'argent à un lion de...au chef cousu de gueules chargé d'un croissant d'argent. Sur un acte du 31 mars 1774, portant nomination d'un chapelain à la chapellenie de Castan du Lot, desservie dans l'église paroissiale de Montcuq, près la ville de Belvès, on voit les armes propres des Sauret, sous le nom de messire Jacques-François-Calmine Sauret, écuyer, lieutenant dans le régiment de Poitou. Et, sur un autre testament mystique du 5 juillet 1790, un cachet portant sur les deux épées en sautoir un lion brochant. Le nom de Sauret figure parmi les signataires d'une délibération de la noblesse de Sarlat, à l'effet de donner tous pouvoirs aux députés de la noblesse aux Etats-Généraux de 1789.
