Antichissima e nobilissima famiglia fermana, di cui si ha memoria fin dal 1199 con un Rogerio, console e rettore della città. Dette in ogni tempo uomini illustri; sono da ricordare: Giacomo, al servizio della Repubblica veneta, che trovandosi alla disfatta navale dell'armata comandata da Girolamo Zeno, ed essendo morto il colonnello Ottavio Adami, fu elevato a tale grado e comando. Braccio, che con altri liberò Fermo dalla tirannia degli Uffreducci. Antonio, militò in Francia, e pugnò contro gli Ugonotti col grado di capitano. Concetto fu capitano delle truppe pontificie in Francia contro gli eretici; pugnò alla battaglia di Montecotorno. Sebastiano, insieme ad altri, ambasciatore al papa Paolo III, per ottenere a Fermo la cessione di Mogliano, e Petritoli. Benedetto, vescovo di Veroli, fu al Concilio tridentino. Eugenio, prelato e vescovo di Telesia nel 1596, fu al Concilio di Benevento, creato da Clemente VIII, vicario apostolico di Ugenta nel 1550,
