Vittorio Amedeo III re di Sardegna concedeva il 6 Lug. 1773 a Pietro Francesco Borea feudatario di Roccasterone il titolo e dignità marchionale, ed in feudo antico e retto per lui e suoi discendenti maschi con mero e misto impero il luogo di Olmo, ed il di lui figlio Tommaso veniva insignito dall'Imperatore Napoleone I della dignità di barone dell'Impero Francese. Carlo Vincenzo, essendosi disposato, nella seconda metà del XVIII secolo, all'unica figlia ed erede della famiglia Ricci di Albenga, divenne il capostipite dei Borea Ricci di questa città. Altro ramo. E' originaria della Bretagna, da cui sulla fine del XII secolo si trasferì a Venezia, e fu ascritta al Gran Consiglio nel 1297. Nel secolo XIII un ramo fu trapiantato in Imola da cui provenne quello che verso la metà del XIV passò a Lugo. Un Giorgi nel 1649 fu eletto Vescovo di Comacchio, ove morì nel 1655. Un
