Diramazione della omonima famiglia di Mirabella, come da numerosi pronunziati di giudicature nobiliari, ebbe questa casa importantissime illustrazioni proprie. Ricevuta infatti più volte nell'ordine di Malta, ed ascritta parimente al Reg. P. Ch. del regno, fu nel 1604 decorata del titolo di marchese di Monteleone, mutato el 1615 in quello di marchese di Larino; nel 1624 del titolo di principe di Apricena Casalmaggiore; nel 1628 del titolo di duca di Roseto, cambiato nel 1654, in quello di Vulgano, e ai 7 luglio 1797, in considerazione dei diversi cospicui uffici del consigliere di S. Chiara D. Antonino B. del titolo di marchese da imporsi su qualunque feudo da acquistarsi, e pendente l'acquisto, sul cognome. Nel 1797 inoltre fu aggregata al monte Manso di Napoli, fra le famiglie nobili fuori Piazza. E' iscritta nell'Elenco ufficiale nonché nel Libro d'oro nobiliare italiano coi titoli di principe di Apricena (mpr.), per rinnovazione 22
