Il Crollanza nel suo "Dizionario" ricorda un Console Riccardo del 1120; un Ugo nel 1231 vescovo di Torino; un Barnaba nel 1324 Generale dell'Ordine dei Predicatori; un Sebastiano, dottore in diritto, senatore a Torino e morto a Padova nel 1551 e che fu creato Conte palatino. Bernardino Centori, capitano imperiale, sposò Aurelia Cagnoli, figlia di Pietro ed erede dello zio Andrea, con l'obbligo di assumere il cognome di Centori per sé e discendenti (20 settembre 1247). I Cagnoli godettero i feudi di Chambre, Chapelle, Dasana, Massoin, Mauriene, Montaimont e Sant'Agnese, quest'ultimo nel 1509. La famiglia è iscritta genericamente nell'Elenco Uff. Nob. Ital. del 1922 col titolo di Conte di Sainte Agnes (mpr.) in persona dei Discendenti da Mario Vittorio (1865). Motto della famiglia: Maior prudentia fato. Altro ramo. Conti di Massoins e di S.
