Nel 1415 troviamo Angelus Andreotti Scapuccij mercator guardianus SS.mi Salvatoris. Nel 1464 Gaspar de Scapucciis sepultus est in Ecclesia Sanctae Barbarae. Dominus Iacobus de Scapucciis Scriptor Sacrae Penitentieriae viveva nel 1466. Sulpitius Colae de Scapuccijs (1471), Marcellus de Scapuccij (1519) de regione Parionis (Iacovacci cod. cit.). Mario (1509) e Francesco(1588) furono Conservatori di Roma. La famiglia levò per arma: fasciato d'argento e d'azzurro, le fascie d'azzurro caricate ognuna di una stella d'oro, le due prime accostate da due crescenti d'argento. Fu costume delle più antiche famiglie, le quali dopo la caduta del Romano Imperio, in quella inondatione de' Barbari, avendo i loro cognomi, sicome gli studi, e altre cose belle smarrito e restati solo con semplici nomi, trarre di nuovo i loro cognomi, e il loro casato da' nomi proprii paterni, e de' maggiori.
