Questi erano cittadini originari fino dal 1446, ed avevano trasmigrato a Venezia da Cattaro, ove erano fregiati di un titolo nobiliare. I fratelli Pietro, Vincenzo e Girolamo offersero il 24 agosto 1646 alla Veneta Rrepubblica la solita somma di 100 mille ducati effettivi pei bisogni del pubblico erario, e la parte venne presa nel Maggior Consiglio il giorno stesso, e ballottata con voti favorevoli 901, contari 48, non sinceri 19. Essi avevano palazzo a S. Maurizio. Molte famiglie che dimoravano in Venezia appartenevano alla nobiltà. Nel Libro d'Oro della nobiltà veneta e ne il Patriziato Veneto dopo la guerra di Candia e la Serrata del Maggior Consiglio del 1646, eventi questi che lasciarono fama immortale pel grande senno politico e virtù cittadine, troviamo illustre questa famiglia. Sulla scorta di antiche cronache esistenti nella Biblioteca Marciana, e nel R. Archivio di Stato finora inedite; e contrariamente a quanto pubblicò il Freschot
