Heinrich Schmitz 1588 Sponsheim Schultheiß Fastrard 1653 Köln Abspüler Swaneke 1477 Merseburg Forstbediente mittel– und niederrheinische Form von Schmied. Schmitz Seit dem ausgehenden 13. Jahrhundert, ab Karl IV. (1346-1378), haben die Kaiser Wappen verliehen, ohne die Begünstigten in den Adelsstand zu erheben. Im 15. Jahrhundert haben sie den Pfalzgrafen mit der Wappenvergabe betraut, der seitdem auch Bürgerfamilien Wappen gewährte.
