Feliciano Capitoni di Narni dell'ordine dei serviti fu nominato da Pio V, nel 1565 arcivescovo di Avignone. Tenne nel 1576 un sinodo nel quale stabilì varie discipline e fece un trattato sul "giubileo". Morì sugli ultimi del 1576, ovvero sui primi del 1577, e fu sepolto nella metropoltana avignonese, nella cappella dehli arcivescovi. Il vero nome di Feliciano fu Feliciano Scorta. Nacque in Itieli e fu detto Capitone perchè adottato dalla famiglia dè Capitoni di Narni ed abitò quasi sempre, nella sua gioventù, nel castello di Capitone. Si vuole avesse origine dalla famiglia Muzia, ovvero de Aimuccis di quel castello. Fu fondatore dei Cenobi del suo ordine, dei serviti, in Ferrara e Capua scrisse contro gli eretici un'opera intitolata EXPLICATIONES LOCORUM FERE OMNIUM VETERIS ET NOVI TESTAMENTI etc.etc. pubblicat in Venezia nel 1579 ed in Colonia nel 1581.
