Ancienne et très noble famille vénitienne répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. D'après une ancienne bibliographie imprimée à Florence par la typographie Murate en 1866, intitulée "Livre des nobles vénitiens, maintenant mis en lumière pour la première fois", comme le montre l'ouvrage susmentionné, la famille est originaire de la Vénétie. Famille originaire d'Altino, il fit construire l'église de S. Maria Zubenigo avec les Zubenigos, et depuis 1397 il n'y a plus de nouvelles certaines d'eux. De nombreuses familles qui vivaient à Venise appartenaient à la noblesse. Dans le Livre d'Or de la noblesse vénitienne et dans le Patriciat vénitien après la guerre de Candie et le Lockout du Conseil Majeur de 1646, événements qui ont laissé une renommée immortelle pour sa grande sagesse politique et ses vertus citadines, on retrouve cette illustre famille.
