In Bergamo nel 1317 viveva un Bonetto de' Rossi, detto Mazzoli, col figlio Guglielmo ed il nipote Andreolo, nobile ed antico cittadino di Bergamo. Questi fu padre di Bettino, avo di Pietro e proavo di un altro Bettino; da quest'ultimo sarebbe nato Giovanni, detto Saccomanno. A questo punto la famiglia sembra essersi divisa e mentre un ramo di Bartolomeo rimaneva in Bergamo continuando col nome Mazzoli, un altro di Bettino si sarebbe trasferito in Anfo (Prov. di Brescia), Rocca Veneta di confine, prendendo ivi stabile dimora. Nel 1447 era console del comune di Anfo Bettino Saccomanno, padre di Giovaninno e Bartolomeo (fatto prigioniero all'assedio di Brescia) che ivi vivevano nel 1488. Seguono Faustino, consigliere in Anfo nel 1488. Giovanni Maria, n. 1484, dec. 1562 e fu console nel 1561. Domenico, marito di Maddalena Zanetti, lasciò Anfo nel 1577 per trasferirsi in Brescia.
