Famiglia di Vicenza. Francesco Segala ebbe la cittadinanza vicentina il 30 dicembre 1543. Paolo, ebbe un posto in Consiglio il 2 gennaio 1582 per cessione di Teodoro Thiene. La famiglia appartenne al nobile Collegio dei Giudici e venne confermata nell'avita nobiltà con S.R. 7 marzo 1820 e fu ascritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale definitivo del Veneto del 19 settembre 1907. Aveva le sue case in Vicenza al di là del Ponte degli Angeli e diede forte sviluppo all'arte della seta. Furono detti anche Sangallo, più che per corruzione di nome per il patronato della chiesa omonima, predicato che era stato ripreso dall'attuale capo della famiglia per se e discendenti e col quale venne iscritta dal Collegio dei Re d'Armi di S.M.C. di Spagna con reale dispaccio confermante nobiltà e blasone in tutto il regno. Giuseppe, nel 1765, ottenne diploma di nobiltà del S.R.I. col predicato Rornfeld, trasmissibile
