Antica e nobile casato lombardo con rami familiari in Bergamo ed Albano. Il commendator G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane. Nel corso dei secoli famiglie omonime della stessa si trasferirono in varie regioni d'Italia, donde ne acquisirono la nobiltà e vi furono accolti nelle importanti cariche della città dove ebbero dimora, il ramo di Bergamo ebbe per arma: Spaccato di rosso e d'azzurro, alla fascia d'oro, attraversante, accompagnata in capo da tre stelle di sei raggi d'oro, maleordinate, ed in punta da tre spighe di grano dello stesso, moventi dalla punta e poste in ventaglio.
