Una vecchia cronaca delle famiglie di Castelfranco Veneto non precisa se la famiglia Seneghini sia originaria da Lucca oppure dalla Savoia. Comunque sia, questo casato comparisce tra gli oblatori nel 1379 alla Repubblica di Venezia, per la guerra di Chioggia. In un documento veneziano, in data 1 aprile 1462, si legge di un Daniele de Seneghini intagliatore da S. Sofia, che aveva dei figlioli ai quali lascia i suoi averi. Lo segue, negli atti notarili, una Elisabetta Seneghini, moglie di un Giovanni (28 agosto 1462) ed una Caterina, denominata più precisamente Seneghini, già sposa di un Antonio nel 1479. Stabiliti, quindi, da lungo tempo a Venezia, troviamo che un di loro, e precisamente Francesco Seneghini, chiese ed ottenne il 13 febbraio 1587 la Cittadinanza veneziana di Intus et extra. Con le memorie dell'abitazione si hanno anche quelle di certi rapporti economici intercorsi, nel 1590, tra un Girolamo Iseppo de Seneghini
