Família espanhola cujo solar é a vila de S. próximo de Segóvia, em Castela-a-Velha. Passou a Portugal na pessoa de Martim de S. um dos vinte e quatro regedores de Sevilha, que teve o castelo de Noudar e a quem o rei D. João I, de Portugal, deu a vila de Buarcos de outras rendas em rermuneração dos serviços que lhe prestou. Uma das famílias portuguesa usa as seguintes armas: de vermelho, com uma oliveira de verde, perfilada de ouro arrancada de prata sustida por dois leões de ouro afrontados, e suas estrelas de oito raios de prata, postas nos cantões de chefe.
