Famiglia nobile di Sarzana, iscritta nel Libro d'Oro della nobiltà di quella città compilato nel 1743, e nelle persone dei fratelli Anton Maria (nata nel 1709) e Pasquale Bernardo (nata nel 1724) de fu Giacomo Antonio (nata nel 1750) e Anton Bernardo (nata nel 1756). Figlio del notaro Domenico (deceduto 1853) fu, oltre Antonio, quell'avvocato Pasquale (n. nel 1798), che si trovò nei moti di Parma del 1831, poi tra i primi inscritti nella Giovine Italia e nelle conseguenti cospirazioni, per cui venne condannato in contumacia a morte dal Consiglio di Guerra di Alessandria nel 1833 (28 ottobre), e dopo anni di esilio in Corsica e in Francia, mutati i tempi, fu mandato deputato in Sarzana e Lerici al parlamento subalpino (1848) e poi per Genova (1849), poi eletto sindaco di Sarzana (1869-75), e morì il 1881. L'Elenco ufficiale nobiliare italiano del 1922 attribuisce il titolo di Nobile di
