Nobile famiglia lucchese, detta Serguisti o Sergiotti, della quale è ricordato fin dal secolo XIII, Puccio, di ser Giusto da Domazzano, dal qual nome, ripetuto in ser Giusto, di Puccini, nel secolo XIV, trasse il cognome in Lucca, ove ottenne la cittadinanza nel 1380. Dal 1430 al 1795 dette alla Repubblica numerosi gonfalonieri, anziani e ambasciatori. I più noti personaggi furono: i cancellieri maggiori Giuseppe Isidoro, Filippo e Gherardo, detto grecamente Diceo, nato il 25 ott. 1492 da Filippo, di ser Pietro e da Margherita, di ser Gherardo Agostini, anch'esso cancelliere della Repubblica, e deputato a raccogliere le sue antiche scritture, del quali si servì per il suo "Sommario della storia di Lucca dal 1264", rimasto inedito. Sommo latinista e maestro di eloquenza, tenne cattedra nello Studio di Bologna, di Reggio, di Milano e finalmente della sua città, dove morì nel 1542. Filippo fu uno dei fondatori dell'Accademia degli Oscuri
