Questa famiglia era conosciuta anticamente sotto il nome di Serlunardi, ed il primo che si recò ad abitare in Lucca fu un Ser Francesco di Leonardo da Massa circa il 1350. Ser Lunardo figlio di Ser Francesco nel 1398 fu incaricato di trattare una lega cogli Obizzi per il Frignano. Egli ebbe un figlio che si chiamò Acconcio e che lasciò il proprio nome alla famiglia. Lo stesso Ser Lunardo intervenne a tutti i Consigli generali della Repubblica e fu il primo Anziano della famiglia, e dopo lui altri della sua casa ebbero lo stesso onore, ma nel 1725 completamente si estinse. Fu costume delle più antiche famiglie, le quali dopo la caduta del Romano Imperio, in quella inondatione de' Barbari, havendo i loro cognomi, sicome gli studi, e altre cose belle smarrito e restati solo con semplici nomi, trarre di nuovo i loro cognomi, e il loro casato da'
