Es tanta la venerable antigüedad que goza el apellido de S. o Ceron que todo es uno, que proviene de un infante de Siria llamado S., que habiendo tenido algunos disgustos con su padre y hermano mayor se pasó a Roma, y siendo bien recibido de Tarquino el Superbo, que tenia el dominio de los romanos en aquel tiempo, se hizo caudillo de la milicia romana, en cuyo empleo sirvió con singular aplauso de Tarquino. Dicho infante casó con Aurelia, matrona romana, y procrearon a Marco S., que pasó a la Siria y de allí a España, en donde por los romanos obtuvo la dignidad de pretor y otros empleos honoríficos.
