In considerazione delle particolari benemerenze acquistate dal notaio Antico Serpietri-Lilliu, (figlio di Antioco Giovanni e di Anna Lilliu, nato a Sardara l'11 novembre 1778) specialmente nel'assecondare il programma statale, relativo alla esecuzione delle grandi opere stradali, che dovevano servire per agevolare i traffici della Sardegna, il re Carlo Felice concedeva a lui e discendenti maschi il cavalierato e la nobiltà con diplomi 7 settembre 1824. Il predetto concessionario aveva sposato in Lunamatrona, donna Maria Diana il 14 novembre1796 ed ebbe due figli: Giovanni e Francesco; il primo di essi fu capostipite della linea stabilitasi a Genova e l'altro, della linea stabilitasi a Donori. Giovanni, nato a Sadara il 18 marzo 1803, sposò donna Maria Teresa dei marchesi Cugia di S. Orsola in Sassari, il 9 agosto 1851. Ebbe due figli: don Enrico, nato il 19 settembre 1852 in Cagliari e donna Francesca, sposata al marchese Raffaele Cugia di S. Orsola,
