According to Scipione Ammirato they derive from a ser Belcaro, di Benvenuto, or Bonaiuto "da Pogna", who was prior in Florence in 1325, whose descendants called themselves "da Pogna" and then also "della Cella" is "da Marcialla" . The family had 21 priors of freedom, from 1325 to 1517, and 6 gonfaloniers of justice in Florence from 1346 to 1431, and several of its representatives were received for justice in the SM Order of Malta. It was to her that we owe the construction of the grandiose convent of S. Firenze, today the seat of the Florentine courts. A Philip, Olivetan abbot, was created by Pope Paul III bishop of Alife in 1548. A Paul, di Niccolò "de Serraglis, civis et patritus fiorentinus" is remembered, under the date of 9 June 1568, as "Capitaneus Fivizani" in the deeds by the notary Cesare Tanucci. Giuliano, di Francesco, was senator in 1608.
