Familia antigua e ilustre, noble de Romaña, de clara y ancestral virtud, repartida a lo largo de los siglos en diversas regiones de Italia y del mundo. Tiene su origen en la ciudad de Forlì y, de hecho, se menciona ampliamente en la importantísima obra "Suplemento histórico de la antigua ciudad de Forlì. En el que se describe la provincia de Romaña. Registrando por serie de tiempos todos esos pueblos, emperadores y reyes, que la dominó (...) "por el noble escritor e historiador Sigismondo Marchesi (Forlì, 1625 - Forlì, 1695). En esta obra se mencionan a Girolamo y a Pietro, ambos destacados personajes locales, ocupados en los más altos cargos de la ciudad. A partir de un análisis cromático y simbólico del arma más antigua de la familia, podemos obtener información importante sobre las virtudes asociadas a este linaje. Siendo el azul el color del cielo, simboliza todas las virtudes
