Da Bartolomeo, di Pero, di Tieri, fiorentino, era nato Tommaso, il cui figlio Bartolomeo fu negli anni 1486-95 dei XII Buonuomini di Firenze e dal 1500 al 1506 dei XVI gonfalonieri di Compagnia. Da lui venne Piero, squittinato pei tre maggiori uffici nel 1524, padre di Carlo, il cui pronipote Carlo Maria ebbe due figli: Amerigo e Giovan Puerto, il quale aveva avuto per i suoi buoni servigi dal granduca Gian Gastone il titolo di capitano nel 1275 ed era stato ascritto con decreto 4 marzo 1765 alla nobilita di Firenze. Egli morì il 17 genn. 1796 avendo avuti da Maria Vittoria Mazzanti di Livorno Carlo e Tommaso, ammessi entrambi al patriziato fiorentino con decreto 17 sett. 1791. Il primo di loro che era "magoniere generale di S.A.R. il granduca di Toscana", essendosi domiciliato a Pistoia perchè vi aveva sposata Mirra di Giovanni Villani, patrizia pistoiese, chiedeva anche il patriziato
