Questa famiglia si stabilì in Vicenza nel secolo XI. Secondo il Crollalanza i sottodescritti discendono da Stefano, di Francesco, che con diploma 4 ottobre 1532 dell'imperatore Carlo V, fu creato conte e cavaliere aurato, titoli che furono confermati dalla repubblica veneta con terminazione 28 settembre 1729 nei discendenti delle due linee di Stefano e di Galeazzo. La dinastia fu riconosciuta come conti con Decreto Ministeriale 2 marzo 1879: Aicardo, nato 20 giugno 1846, di Federico e di Maddalena Torrazza, sposato 24 maggio 1884 con Pierina Maraschin, da cui: a) Bianca, nata 19 febbraio 1886; b) Federico, nato 15 aprile 1887; c) Nicolò Adriano, nato Vicenza, 1 giugno 1889. Fratello: Girolamo. Altro ramo. Tornainbene G. gentilhuomo di Rimino hebbe dall'Imperador Federico II, per satisfation di militari servigi, il governo della città di Siragusa nel 1220, ed ivi casò suo figlio Giordano con Adelicia nepote carnale di Ruggiero Locoteca Barone del feudo
