Antica famiglia originaria da Bologna, ove chiamavasi Bentivogli, emigrata a Venezia in epoca non bene precisata. Zaccaria e Francesco da la Siega, entrambi notai (1401-1428), sono i più antichi personaggi che s'incontrano a Venezia. Francesco Dalla Siega, procuratore del comune di Venezia (11 agosto 1419), notaio imperiale (22 febbraio 1421), segretario ducale (4 dicembre 1425), poi Cancellier Grande (18 novembre 1439) e vivo nel 18 febbraio 1467, ebbe due figlie sposate con i NN. HH. Boldù e Marcello. Con Zaccaria Della Siega continuò la linea dei Cittadini originari fin dopo la metà del secolo XVI in cui non si trovano compresi in quest'ordine distinto. Da allora le memorie di questa famiglia, che aveva tomba propria in chiesa S. Stefano, ove eresse un altare, compariscono tra le classi artigiane ed i notai del Friuli. La famiglia, che nei tempi antichi abitava a S. Paterniano e costruì molte case a S. Pantaleone,
