De la investigación realizada en el Archivo General de la Compañía de Indias en Sevilla, extraemos la siguiente información: Vicente de S., natural de Valencia, soltero, hijo de Juan de S. y de Catalina Fuster fue nombrado Secretario del Adelantado por decreto de la Real Compañía de Indias en 25 dicembre 1577 y embarcó hacia Perú el 11 diciembre 1578; en otro legajo del mismo archivo figura que dimitió del cargo a los dos años de ocuparlo, compró una hacienda y acumuló gran fortuna, murió a los 69 años víctima de unas extrañas fiebres, legó sus propiedades a los domínicos y repartió el dinero a sus tres hijos reconocidos, por lo que suponemos que fué uno de los iniciadores de esta saga familia en América.
