Trae questa famiglia la sua origine da Indovero (Valsassina), e ha stipite noto Domenico, da cui nacquero Carlo (n. Indovino; dec. Cuorgnè) e Giovanni, il quale procreò Giovanni Domenico (n. Cuorgnè, 29 nov. 1653), che fu fucinatore di rame, e consegnò l'arma gentilizia l'8 marzo 1689. Fu di questa famiglia Pietro Giovanni (n. Cuorgnè, 29 giugno 1774; dec. ivi, 11 agosto 1836), figlio dell'avvocato e notaio Gio. Carlo, il quale fu dottore di leggi, vice-auditore di guerra e sindaco di Cuorgnè. Sposò Carlotta, di Carlo Rossi, vedova del maggiore Candido Pinelli, e da queste nozze nacque Giovanni Carlo (nato a Courgnè, 23 marzo 1821; deced. a Torino, 11 aprile 1867), che dalle sue nozze (1851) con Carlotta Negri ebbe Alfonso (nato a Torino, 22 aprile 1861), che avvocato alla corte di Cassazione di Roma, cittadino onorario di Cuorgnè e che fu riconosciuto nobile con D. M. del 6 dic. 1887.
