La tradition nous dit que les familles Signori et Comenduno avaient un ancêtre commun, trouvé dans un chevalier, de la suite de Frédéric III de Souabe, nommé Weber ou Wapper, investi du fief de Comenduno, d'où les descendants s'appelaient Weber, seigneurs de Comenduno , Comenduni ou, simplement, Seigneurs. Mais de nombreux arbres généalogiques des anciennes archives municipales de Bergame et un diplôme de noblesse, délivré le 12 mai 1789, à Don Luigi, Giovan Francesco et Giacomo Antonio, fils de Marco, du qm. Giovan Giacomo, dirigés par un Girolamo, fils de Gataldo di Comenduno, les Signori sont citoyens de Bergame depuis 1278.
