Famille du Dauphiné. Henri fut anobli par lettres patentes de l'an 1616, Guy Allard dit 1606, vérifiées en la chanbre des comptes d'Aix. Jean, son fils, fut un savant médecin et laissa de Jeanne de Vesc: Alexandre Silhol vivant en 1670, peut-être le même personnage dont le frère, noble Jean, seigneur de Saint-Vincent-de-Barrès en Vivarais, est qualifié héritier dans un acte du 15 janvier 1686. Jean, seigneur de Saint-Vincent, fils de Jean et de Jeanne de Vesc, épousa, le 25 mai 1685, Marie de Launay, fille de Jacques, baron d'Antraigues, seigneur de la Bastide, Asperjoc, Saint-Lager et Chirac, gentilhomme ordinaire de la chambre de Louis XIII, maréchal de camp en 1467 et de Philiberte d'Arpajon. M. Silhol habitant le Bourg-Saint-Andéol nous communiqua, il y a une dizaine d'années, une généalogie imprimée et qui nous parut très complète.
