The family is registered in the Nob Gold Book. Ital. And in El. Uff. Nob. Ital. With the title of baron of the Third Customs of the Sea of Catania in the person of Sebastiano De Luca-Silipigni, Antonino, Sebastiano. It is said to originate from Ravenna, passed towards Messina at the end of the 16th century and from here to Castroreale, where, among others, we note a Tommaso sworn in 1800-18801; an Antonino who married Giuseppa Cianciolo baroness of the Third Customs of Catania sea and was joined to the nobility of Messina in 1812.
