Die Familie war in Reggio seit dem sek bekannt. XVI mit einem Agostino Silva, der 1512 lebte. Gian Nicolò war 1545 Doktor Colegiatus und Alfonso 1590 Notar. 1631 war Prospero Rektor der Waisenhäuser. Im November 1624 legte ein Giambattista Silva Kardinal Bentivoglio unter. Hippolytus von Charles, von Augustinus, Priester. Sein 1664 lebender, sehr reicher Neffe Carlo, di Agostino, di Carlo, wurde am 2. November in seinem Haus ermordet. 1696. Diese Familie hatte in der sek. XVII mehrere Brüder und Nonnen, wie die Brüder Don Giovanni und Don Alessandro von Bernardino von Nicolò, die das Kloster von S. Marco betraten; ihre Schwester Silvia, eine Nonne in S. Raffele, und ihr Neffe Alfonso, der Karmeliter mit dem Namen Don Giuliano war und 1647 Prior wurde. Giambattista von Prospero Agostino von Carlo war 1671 Witwer von Anna von Paolo Ferretti und in zweiter Ehe heiratete er Barbara Tacoli. Zu dieser Familie gehörten auch
