Di questa famiglia trovansi notizie fin dal sec. XVII, ed è annoverata tra le più illustri di Tolentino. Il 14 giugno 1731 il dottor Stefano e il fratello Giuseppe, per benemerenze, vengono iscritti al patriziato di Tolentino, con tutti i loro discendenti. Ferdinando, duca di Parma, Piacenza e Guastalla, con suo diploma 31 genn. 1778, decorò del titolo comitale Domenico e tutti i suoi discendenti maschi. Ebbe costui molti figli che si distinsero nelle principali cariche civiche. Pietro, di Domenico, fu colonnello delle mililzie pontificie provinciali di Ascoli Piceno; egli con diploma del 2 giugno 1816, fu ascritto alla nobiltà di Ascoli con tutti i suoi discendenti. Il re di Spagna lo decorò della croce da cavaliere dell'Ordine della Concezione, istituito da Carlo III, re di Spagna, Stefano, di Pietro, fu cameriere di cappa e spada del papa; nel 1814 fu maggiore del primo reggimento di fanteria provinciale.
