La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di patrizio di Benevento (mf.), in persona di Onofrio, di Camillo, di Onofrio, di Francesco, di Onofrio. figli: Emma, Gino e Braccio. La famiglia levò per arme. D'argento all'ancora al naturale; con la campagna mareggiata d'azzurro e del campo. Motto della famiglia. Fai ton devoir. Altro ramo. Antica famiglia siciliana, detta Simeone o De Simone, che vuolsi provenga dalla Francia, dalla regione d’Angiò,la quale rifulse nobilmente in Trapani, in Palermo, in Mazzara, ove ottenne incarichi di senatore, giurato e capitano di giustizia, ed in Napoli. Un Giacomo fu baiolo (pretore) di Palermo nel 1282; un Francesco fu senatore di Trapani nel 1424-25; un Giovanni tenne la stessa carica in detta città
