Antiga e muito nobre família italiana, de clara e ancestral virtude, espalhada ao longo dos séculos em várias regiões da Itália e da Europa. Os assentamentos mais conspícuos da família, com registros relativos do brasão, são encontrados em Roma e em Bolonha. A família também foi nobre, no século XIX, na República de São Marinho, à qual deu vários nobres Capitães Regentes. Há também notícias dos assentamentos Simoncini nos territórios da Ligúria, Veneto, Sardenha e Sicília. Também de importância heráldica é o ramo familiar presente em Rovereto pelo menos desde o século XVII, quando floresceu a nobre Elena Gertrude Simoncini, em cuja casa as mulheres do território costumavam se reunir. Pertencia também a este ramo Veneria Simoncini, fiel companheira dos Servos de Deus e cofundadora do oratório de Trento, que floresceu em 1636. A evidente nobreza desta ilustre linhagem é ainda confirmada pela presença dos seus brasões em prestigiosos obras

Blasone della famiglia Simoncini ricostruito da un disegno conservato presso la Biblioteca Comunale dell'Archiginnasio di Bologna nell'opera "Il Blasone bolognese, cioè Arme gentilizie di famiglie bolognesi, nobili, cittadinesche e aggregate" di Floriano Canetoli realizzata tra il 1791 e il 1795.
