Famiglia di Alghero di origine ligure, le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XVIII. I Simonicini ottennero il cavalierato ereditario e la nobiltà nel 1748, con un Domenico tesoriere reale e vice console di Sicilia ad Alghero. Successivamente la famiglia espresse alcuni valenti uomini di cultura. Dei Simonicini non si hanno più notizie dal secolo XIX. Altro ramo. Originaria francese. Luigia duchessa reggente di Param, madre e tutrice di Roberto I, duca di Parma, con diploma 25 Aprile 1857, creò baroni i Simonicini. Altro ramo. Famiglia di Bosa le cui notizie risalgono alla fine del secolo XVII. I Simonicini erano mercanti, nel 1736 ottennero il cavalierato ereditario e la nobiltà con un Antonio, che nello stesso anno fu investito del feudo di Samassi, con il titolo di marchese. Alla fine del secolo XVIII i Simonicini erano carichi di debiti e non erano in grado di pagare al fisco i diritti feudali.
