Famiglia della Gallura le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XVI. Nel 1558 un Raimondo era saliniere di Terranova, i suoi parenti erano considerati pubblicamente nobili e la famiglia aveva un discreto patrimonio. Agli inizi del secolo XVII un Carlo fissò la sua residenza a Pattada dove fu regidor della contea di Oliva; i suoi figli nel 1643 furono ammessi allo stamento militare durante il parlamento Avellano. Essi formarono due rami della famiglia: da Salvatore discese il ramo di Pattada che si estinse nel corso del secolo XVII. Da Filippo che si stabilì a Bono, tramite i figli, discesero due altre linee: da Giovanni i Ledda Sini di Bono; da Antonio i Sini di Torralba, Thiesi e Mores.
