Uma vez, ele lamentou a origem florentina, mas sem uma base segura e sem informações históricas. A família é de Gandino ou Lovere; depois mudou-se para Verona e Brescia, acrescentando o sobrenome de Noris, e um ramo mudou-se para Trentino um pouco mais tarde. Já em meados de 1500, um Jerome, cônsul da cidade de Trento, representava seu governo na dieta de Innsbruck. O progenitor da fam. enobrecido foi o doutor Giovanni Giacomo (1605-1681), conselheiro episcopal da corte, chanceler do principado e cônsul-chefe de Trento que, juntamente com seu irmão Cristoforo, recebeu do bispo Carlo Emanuele Madruzzo, com diploma de 6 de março de 1649, o privilégio de nobreza, também reconhecida pelo SRI pelo imper. Ferdinando III, 6 de outubro de 1654. Ferdinando Maria, eleitor da Baviera, com um diploma de 3 de maio de 1658, promoveu Giovanni Giacomo e seus filhos Antonio, Giovanni Battista e Francesco Vigilio à dignidade
