The origin of this illustrious surname, by references from historians of the time and others found out by Araldis in the registry files of cities and other private ones, we could affirm, but not assure, that this shield or another very similar to it, initially appeared from the XI to XIV century, particularly in the repopulation of Estella, late XII century, being one of the families to reside within the city walls.
