Antica famiglia emiliana da Brescello imparentata con i Raschini detta Soliani o Soliani Raschini si è propagata, nel corso del tempo, in diverse regioni del regno. Padre maestro Virginio Raschini, brescellese, procuratore generale dei Minori conventuali, fu legato del duca Francesco I d'Este e plenipotenziario per due volte in Polonia, dove morì. La famiglia S. aggiunse il cognome Raschini, perchè Domenico Maria S. di Giulio, aveva sposato Virginia Raschini. Don Giuseppe Andreoli, vittima del duca Francesco IV di Modena, che lo fece giustiziare nel 1822, fu isititutore in casa S. Raschini in Reggio nel 1819, poi ascrittosi ai carbonari nel 1820. Perseguitato dalla polizia per sospetti sulle sue idee, fu protetto e difeso dai conti S. Raschini e, per loro intercessioni, nominato professore di umanità e di retorica nel collegio di Correggio. Il conte Francesco S. Raschini (deced. il 2 luglio 1859) lasciò cinque figli: Camillo, Antonio, Ludovico, Augusto
