Coi diplomi in data 16 sett. 1688, Carlo II, re di Spagna, concedeva a Giuseppe, di Sardegna, i titoli di cavalierato e di nobiltà. Ed al Parlamento Generale, del 1698, tenuto sotto la presidenza del vicerè conte di Montellano, furono abilitati ad intervenire don Andrea e don Giuseppe Solinas, di Ploaghe, e don Antonio Giuseppe, don Giuseppe e don Salvator Angelo Solinas da Codrongiunus. Vittorio Amedeo II, re di Sardegna, considerando l'onestà, l'agiatezza, la probità, le singolari virtù, di cui erano ornati il padre loro ed i suo figli Giacomo, Gavino e Giovanni, nonché i servizi eminenti da loro prestati allo Stato, concede, coi diplomi in data 13 dicembre 1729, al loro genitore fu Leonardo Virde, di Banari, come se vivesse, i titoli di cavalierato e di nobiltà e l'uso delle armi gentilizie, trasmissibili ai figli e discendenti (m.).
