Nous trouvons le nom de cette famille écrit Solier, Sollier, Soulier, Dusolier, du Solier, etc. M. R. Gigord, fait remonter la filiation de cette maison à Raymond, qui épousa, le 3 février 1488, Blanche de Verras. Il mourut en 1526. Son fils Antoine rendit hommage au seigneur de la Voulte, le 12 août 1527. Il testa, le 8 août 1549, et mourut trois jours après. Il avait épousé, en 1529, Anne Faure, fille de Bernardin, receveur du pays de Vivarais. Son fils Antoine du Solier embrassa le parti de la réforme et épousa, le 19 juillet 1562, Anne d'Allard. Son fils David, eut ses biens confisqués. Il épousa, le 14 juin 1617, Sarah de Laurens, dont entre autres: Etienne, qui rentra dans le sein de l'Eglise catholique.
