Ancient Veronese family, originally from Milan, known in Verona with the name of Stopazzola from a land of this name owned by the family, then erected in a noble and jurisdictional fiefdom in 1478. Since 1465 it has been a sample of the estimate, but was not aggregated to the Council that in 1713. The fiefdom of Stopazzala was erected in the county by the Veneto Senate with Decree March 31, 1703 and from that time the family enjoyed the comital title, which with that of nobleman of Verona was recognized with DM July 28, 1895. Section of blue and red, divided by a purple trangle; the first loaded towards the right side of a gold diamond; to the lion of the same bearer a silver necklace, from which hangs a shell, crossing over the whole.

Inquartato: nel primo d'argento a tre biscioni di verde ingoianti un putto di carnagione coronati d'oro ondeggianti in palo ed ordinati in fascia; nel secondo di azzurro alla stella di sei raggi d'oro; nel terzo d'oro a tre bande d'azzurro con una testa di moro al naturale, bendata d'argento, attraversante; nel quarto di nero al giglio d'argento.
