Bourgeoisie de Fay-le-Froid qui compte parmi ses membres les seigneurs de Créaux près des Vastres (Velay). Hugues Sordon docteur en droit, reçut en 1636 St François Régis lors de sa maison à Fay. Jean Sordon de Créaux est cité le 1er août 1700, comme légataire dans le testament de Jean Bernard son grand-oncle. Claude Sordon seigneur de Créaux, avocat au Puy en 1733, décéda le 20 mars 1742. Arnaud cite, dans son Histoire du Velay, Alexis Sordon de Créaux, chanoine du Puy, prieur de Caunau, comme l'un des principaux bienfaiteurs de l'Hôpital général de cette ville en 1752. Antoine Sordon de Créaux prévôt de l'église cathédrale du Puy en 1756, assista aux Etats du Velay de 1774.
