Il sommo Pontefice Leone XIII, per premiare le benemerenze verso la Chiesa della famiglia Spagnoletti Zeuli, il 20 gennaio 1888 concesse ad Onofrio Spagnoletti Zeuli, di Ferdinando, nato ad Andria il 28 febbraio 1803, dec. l'8 settembre 1894, il titolo trasmissibile di conte. Con R.D. 13 novembre 1928 e Regie Lettere 26 Giugno 1930. S.M. il Re autorizzò suo nipote Onofrio ad usare il titolo nel Regno d'Italia. A questa famiglia ha appartenuto il titolo di Conte, titolo che solevasi dagli imperatori a coloro che erano al loro fianco. Da questi Conti si sceglieva coloro che venivano destinati a soprintendere agli uffizi del regio palazzo, ed altri erano mandati al governo delle provincie dell'impero ed a gurdare i confini. Erano poi altri conti, estranei ai cennati uffizi, come quelli addetti all'annona, al commercio; ed anche i provveditori dell'esercito si ebbero quel titolo. Ai tempi dei Goti la dignità di Conte

Inquartato: nel primo e quarto di verde, al braccio destro armato al naturale, movente dal lembo sinistro dello scudo impugnante una spada d'argento alta in palo ed addestrato da una cometa d'argento ondeggiante in palo (Spagnoletti); nel secondo e terzo troncato di rosso e d'azzurro; nel primo ad un giglio d'oro, nel secondo ad un rosaio a due rami divergenti, fogliati, cadauno fiorito all'estremità, essa rosa posta sulla vetta più alta, fra le tre, di un monticello pure d'oro (Zeuli). Lo scudo accollato all'aquila bicipide, coronata sulle due teste.
