Con el diploma el 27 de febrero. 1711 El rey Carlos III de Castilla y Aragón otorgó el título de Conde de San Martino a Don Giovanni Valentino y sus descendientes de sangre y sucesores, estableciendo que debería suceder por mayoría legal o regular. Y cuando la isla de Cerdeña pasó bajo la dinastía Saboya, el ya mencionado Don Giovanni, conde de San Martino, dio a conocer al rey que, por diploma del 10 de febrero. 1711, fue perdonado por SM Imperiale Carlo VI, junto con sus hijos y descendientes legítimos y naturales, del Salto vulgarmente llamado de Minutadas, con cada jurisdicción civil y penal, imperio simple y mixto, así como el título de conde, traído por otro diploma del mismo emperador del 27 del mismo mes de febrero, y también del ingreso civil anual de las villas comúnmente llamadas Mandrolisai, en cuanto al tercer diploma del 11 de febrero.
