Ancient and noble Abruzzese family, with honorable support for the eminent positions of royal treasurers, family members and diners, field masters, general receivers, etc. Two of them, Quidazio and Albemario were decorated in 1327 with the title of soldiers; a Francis had the title of Marquis from King Philip I on 5 August 1581, and in times close to us a Joseph on May 30, 1831 was attached to the nobility of Bologna, and on November 27, 1832 with pontifical decree elevated to the dignity of count of the Sacred Palace. This same Joseph also claimed the marquis title in his family which was granted to him by R. decree 25 May 1841. The third son of the marquis Giovan-Angelo, by name Filippo, inherited from the maternal avolo the title of marquis di Sogliano, recognized with R. decree 21 Sept. 1855.
