Antigua y noble familia Abruzzese, con honorable apoyo para los eminentes puestos de tesoreros reales, familiares y comensales, maestros de campo, receptores generales, etc. Dos de ellos, Quidazio y Albemario fueron decorados en 1327 con el título de soldados; un Francisco tenía el título de marqués del rey Felipe I el 5 de agosto de 1581, y en tiempos cercanos a nosotros, un José el 30 de mayo de 1831 estaba vinculado a la nobleza de Bolonia, y el 27 de noviembre de 1832 con un decreto pontificio elevado a la dignidad de Conde del Palacio Sagrado. Este mismo Joseph también reclamó el título de marqués en su familia que le fue otorgado por el decreto de R. 25 de mayo de 1841.
