The S. by constant tradition descend from the Bevagna family, so called from the land of origin, known in the XII century, when it owned Gualdo and Girona. He was among the consuls of Bevagna and occupied very important military and civilian positions. In times close to us, an Alexander was governor of Civita Castellana, Orte, and Cascia and vice-manager of Terni, Rieti and Tivoli; Floriano was podestà of Serra San Quirico (1738). The comital title has been used by this family since ancient times, so much so that in the Official Italian Noble List it was attributed to it for very ancient possession. The family is registered in the Official Italian Noble List with the title of count (mpr.), In the person of Alessandro, Paolo, Alessandro, Paolo, Giacomo; married. with Antonietta Doria. Children: Dino, born in Fossombrone January 14, 1882; Mario, born in Bevagna August 25, 1884; Ugo, born
