Il capostipite di questa famiglia è Francesco Antonio, mercante di Trento, che ottenne la nobiltà palatina il 20 dicembre 1767 e con Diploma 14 novembre 1772 di Maria Teresa d'Austria, quella del S.R.I. coi predicati di Prenterhof (Cabrusa) ed Hohenmaur (Muralta). Ebbero poi la nobiltà vescovile tridentina con Diploma 2 marzo 1783. Furono iscritti alla Matricola Nobile del Regno di Baviera il 17 novembre 1817. Luigi, imperiale regio capitano, fu aggregato alla nobiltà del Granducato di Parma l'8 ottobre 1854. Furono riconosciuti nobili del S.R.I.* con D.M. 19 novembre 1926. *Sacro Romano Impero, nome ufficialmente assunto dal ricostituito Impero Romano d'Occidente dopo la solenne incoronazione di Carlo Magno avvenuto in Roma (800). I titoli nobiliari del Sacro Romano Impero, secondo il massimario della Consulta Araldica sono stati conferiti a famiglie italiane, per antica tradizione, ed essi si considerano come titoli italiani.
